Lets just start off by saying, 'Hello Gorgeous!". These are the new Wet n Wild Limited Edition Matte Collection lipsticks. I have to say that these lipsticks really speak for themselves. The packaging is a nice matte rubberized finish, and the caps are on there securely. The only thing that some matte lipstick lovers out there may not appreciate, is that these lippies are more of a satin finish than a true matte. With that said, these lipsticks are FABULOUS! They are so nice and creamy on the lips and are very comfortable to wear for a lengthy period of time. They are all very pigmented and apply beautifully and evenly. There is a color for everyone in this small little collection. Lets take a closer look...
L>R: Sweet Cream, Bordeaux Boulevard, Urban Night |
Sweet cream:
Sweet cream is a gorgeous nude with a little bit
of a pink undertone. I really like that this nude leans more pink than brown,
it definitely has proven to be already one of my go to nudes. It is very creamy
to apply and honestly you really wouldn't believe it was a WnW lipstick.
For only a $1.99 I think this lipstick could hold it's own against the big boys (high end). Wear
time is average, about 2 hrs if no eating or drinking.
Urban night:
Urban Night is very pretty red raspberry shade. This color is perfect for fall! Once again the formula is fantastic, very smooth application and gorgeous pigment. This is a beautiful fall and winter color. This color lasted about 3-4 hrs before I felt it needed a little touch up. Otherwise, without touching it up Urban Night leaves a lovely pink-berry stain that without makeup remover proves difficult to remove completely.
Bordeaux Boulevard:
Highlights:
- $1.99
- Limited edition
Sadly these are LE, which means you better get your hands on them quick! In all the displays I have seen, there are only 3 of each of the 4 colors (the fourth color is a red shade). I have absolutely no regrets about these lippies, they are all that and more. Granted if you are looking for a true matte, these are not for you. But, the creamy formula, and the pigment make up for them not being true mattes. In my humble opinion, Best investment ever!
Stay Beautiful!
Love,
Helen
