Hi everyone! & Hello Again warmer NYC weather!! Today I have for you a pretty color changing polish from Funky Fingers called Gnarly Dude!. I love the name, it elicits a bit of a chuckle every time I say it out loud. This polish sold for 2/$5 at Five Below, which I think is the only place that sells the Funky Fingers brand. There were other color changing polishes as well, but this glitter one really caught my attention.

With Thanksgiving around the corner and Christmas very soon after, I wanted to get a head start on sifting through my red polishes to find the perfect holiday red. Well, I think I found a contender. It's the Zoya Pixie Dust polish in Chyna.

When I first laid eyes on Kat Von D's Studded Kiss Lipstick in Gothica it reminded me of crushed bronze dipped fall leaves, and I still stand by that! I was really drawn to this lipstick especially for the fall. Something about bronze, burnt oranges and glitter that just take me to a typical crisp cool NYC  fall afternoon, strolling around, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice latte in hand...Ahhhhhhh....

I recently hit the Deborah Lippmann jackpot and scored a few bottles for about $6.50 a piece during the BeautyBrands.com Sale. Among the many, that I will be reviewing slowly but surely, is Glitter in the Air. At first I have to be honest, I was on the fence about this polish because it has been reported as being sheer and several people have told me that they didn't think it was worth it especially since Revlon had duped it with Whimsical. However, I still wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt and give it a try, I have never been let down by Deborah Lippmann, so I took my chances.

Color Club Nail Lacquer in #6032 For You

Nothing like starting off a New Year of Blogging with a fresh Mani! Today we will be looking at a new (at least for me) Color Club Mini in #6032 ‘For You’. I picked up this adorable mini polish at Harmon’s where they had a decently sized display of all mini color club polishes, including minis of their newer collection ‘Girl About Town’ (Fall 2013), which I was surprised to see. From this display I also picked up a mini of ‘The Uptown’ from the Fall Collection, which I will review soon. In the meantime, you can see swatches on my Instagram (helensbeauty). The ‘For You’ polish happened to catch my eye because I thought it was pretty unique looking, and it reminded me of an indie brand polish.

I recently was informed that Sephora started carrying Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish (Hitting stores in September 2013). Now, I may not have mentioned this before, but I am a huge fan of glitter polish, but I usually have very high expectations for them and therefore most of the time they fall flat for me for various reasons; they chip off very fast, they flake off, the glitter doesn't lay nicely on the nail, the glitter does not layer well, the list can go on and on. But, I decided to give Deborah Lippmann's glitter polishes a shot.
