|Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick - Gothica|
When I first laid eyes on Kat Von D's Studded Kiss Lipstick in Gothica it reminded me of crushed bronze dipped fall leaves, and I still stand by that! I was really drawn to this lipstick especially for the fall. Something about bronze, burnt oranges and glitter that just take me to a typical crisp cool NYC fall afternoon, strolling around, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice latte in hand...Ahhhhhhh....
Ok, enough with the tangent, aside for my obvious love for this color in the tube, the packaging is eye catching too! It is a plastic studded lipstick tube, very rock n' roll and original. Overall, the packaging seems sturdy and the lipstick does close well, so I don't foresee any problems with it possibly opening in my purse while rolling around in there.
As for the formula, it is a drying formula, but not so drying where I would find myself with desert parched lips by the end of the day. The formula is a long wearing formula, which explains the dryness and lasted a good 4-5 hours without me feeling like I really needed to reapply and without that very parched lip look or feel. In addition, even with the glitter that is in this lipstick it still manages to feel pretty smooth on the lips, and not gritty at all. This lipstick is a glitter bomb, but in the best, most grown up way possible.
