Does everyone remember when lip stains were all the rage? Well, I still do. In fact, I admit that I do like a good lip stain. Now that the summer months are here, I am on the look out for a low maintenance lip stain that can hold it's own. That is where the New NYC Smooch Proof Liquid Lip Stains come in, to hopefully fill the void without breaking the bank!
The scent is a very sweet perfume kind of scent, which is virtually undetectable when applied to lips.
The product is sheer but you can build up the intensity of the color. With one layer, you get a very natural looking but noticeable stain. You can also build up the product so that the stain is more vibrant and opaque. However, you do have let it set a couple of minutes in between layers, otherwise, if you rub your lips together the product will distribute unevenly. Once the product sets, there is very minimal to no transfer.
The formula is light weight, easy to apply and has incredible staining power. It is one you will have to commit to for the whole day if you're going to wear it. It is incredibly stubborn to remove.
