Influenster: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Review

Hi everybody! Today, I will be reviewing 3 colors from the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polish line, Jaded (540), Red my Lips (470), and Pat on the Black (510). I have yet to try this line from Sally Hansen, so I was very excited when I received it in the mail. I received these polishes free for review from Influenster.

Let’s get back to the review - First and foremost I should mention that Sally Hansen actually did an assessment and found that the Complete Salon Manicure line was actually preferred by most women over Revlon and Essie polishes. With claims like that, I get pretty excited.

In addition, the real benefits to this polish are that it is pretty much an All-in-One deal! It claims to have 7 benefits in 1 bottle:
  • Base Coat
  • Strengthener
  • Growth Treatment
  • Color
  • Top Coat
  • Chip Resistant
  • Gel Shine Finish
Well, with all these claims in tow, let’s see how these performed.

Jaded (540)

This color is a beautiful turquoise, and has been trending the last 2 years, especially for the spring and summer time. The formula of this particular color was on the sheer side. The 1st coat, although very sheer was streak free and even. It took 3 coats to achieve a nice level of opacity. This had a nice shine finish for being top coat-less.

Red My Lips (470)

Red My Lips
This is your classic red nail polish; you really can’t go wrong year round with a classic red in my opinion. The 1st coat was a tad sheer, but if you were in a hurry you could definitely get away with a quick 1 coat, but 2 was absolutely perfect.

Pat on the Black (510)

This is a dark plum color, perfect for the fall and winter. 1st coat was sheer, but at 2 coats it was a nice level of opacity.

Highlights:
  • All in One Polish
  • Availability: Drugstores, Target, Walmart, etc.
  • Opacity varies by color
  • Shine finish
  • Dries fairly fast
  • Time saving
  • Streak-free
  • Wide range of colors
  • Price: $7.50 (price varies)
  • Wide brush - I really love the brush, it is quick, and easy to use.
  • Long lasting wear time - Manicure lasted 5 days with only noticeable tip wear, but no chips in sight! I was impressed with the wear time, because I have a tendency to be pretty rough on my manicures.

Overall, you can’t really beat the convenience of this polish, it is most certainly time saving, and the wear time was great. In addition, there is a fairly large color range. There is something for everyone in this line. I have a feeling that some formulas may be sheerer than others, but considering the time you are saving skipping all the other steps, 1 extra coat of polish will seem like nothing in the grand scheme of things. Have any other questions that I didn't cover in this review? Let me know in the comments section down below!!

Stay Beautiful!

Love,

Helen
